Research Interests and Projects

In this group, we mainly focus on proteins - their structure, activity, stability, aggregation and more. Recently one of our tasks is inducing mutations in specific genes using genetic engineering techniques, producing mutant proteins, and then analyzing protein activity, protein aggregation levels, or even, in later stages, treating the produced protein with cells or injecting it into a mouse model to study its characteristics and potential effects. Our goal is to identify the potential causes of diseases, especially conditions like Alzheimer’s and some skin related disorders. Additionally, by utilizing databases and bioinformatics tools, we aim to understand the involved signaling network.
